Okuma Helios

Okuma Helios SX spinning reel combines advanced design and C-40X long-strand carbon fiber construction to deliver fantastic handling with exceptional strength for freshwater and inshore saltwater fisheries.

Like the Inspiron, Helios has an array of very impressive features. The cyclonic flow rotor was designed to create a cyclonic Airflow, which significantly increases airflow through the ported rotor. Allows for a much faster drying time if the reel becomes wet, minimizing corrosion possibilities throughout the reel.

The torsion control Armor design is made with Okuma C-40X long-strand carbon fiber technology. This makes the reel lighter and makes the reel extremely rigid, which reduces twist and torque and keeps the internal parts in perfect alignment. Helios SX spinning reel has 8 high-performance bearings and 1 rolling bearing with a cyclonic flow rotor.

Okuma RTX

Delivering features commonly reserved for elite-level spinning reels, the all-new Okuma RTX family is the first to offer long-strand carbon fiber framing and premium aluminum gears at less than 100 MSRP. This makes ultra-light, ultra-powerful spinning reels more accessible than ever before.

The RTX series includes four high-speed, 6.0:1 models, the RTX-25S, RTX-30S, RTX-35S, and RTX-40S, with a focus on freshwater and light inshore saltwater applications. The Okuma C-40X long-strand carbon fiber frame and rotor system is headlining an extensive feature set.

Rather than a standard resin featuring powdered filler for strength, C-40X resins feature a mix of long carbon fiber strands, interwoven tens of thousands of times. By greatly enhancing the connections between all fibers, strength is increased by a factor of 50%. And because less resin is necessary overall, weight is reduced by 25% over standard graphite frames.

C-40X construction is visible when the reels are exposed to bright light. On the interior of the RTX, the Precision Elliptical Gearing system incorporates an anodized aluminum main gear, oscillation gear, and slider. Harder than brass and much more corrosion resistant, the drive system greatly enhances strength and longevity, while further reducing weight. A brass pinion gear is maintained to provide exceptionally smooth gear meshing and fluid performance.

Okuma Epixor XT

Up next we have the Okuma Epixor Xt Lightweight Spinning Reel. The Expixor XT reels utilize advanced technologies to create both an exceptional feel and rock-solid durability. These spinning reels were designed with the latest technology and insight from leading fishermen around the country.

Some key features include graphite side plates and rotor, and Okuma’s C-40X long-strand carbon fiber construction on its TCA- Torsion Control Armor frame design. Another key technology is the slow oscillation system. This slower oscillation system gives an exceptional line lay upon retrieve and is optimized for use with a braided line.

The Epixor XT spinning reels bring its technology to three key sizes. A 20, 30, and 40 size reel. The three sizes all contain eight total stainless steel bearings and depending on reel size, between 11-19lbs of drag out of its multi-disc, Japanese oiled felt drag washers.
